The Oahe Zap have two rare road games this week as they travel to Spearfish to face the Sasquatch looking to continue its winning trend having won six of the last seven.
It’s the first road games since June 15 and will be the only two road games until July 19 when they go back to Spearfish and over to Fremont for four straight road games. Oahe is 11-17 on the season overall to start the final month of the season. However, the Zap are just 1-6 so far on the year against the Sasquatch who are 21-9 and are an even hotter team currently than the Zap. Spearfish won eight in a row and have won 14 of the last 16 after winning the first game but losing the second game against the Plainsmen in a doubleheader on Monday after Sunday’s game was postponed. Spearfish won the first half of the season and have earned their spot in the Independence League Baseball Championship Series at the end of the summer.
First pitch tonight and on Wednesday is scheduled for 7:05 Central Time in Spearfish.
