After losing on Friday, stopping a five game winning streak, the Oahe Zap would take out their frustration on Sunday beating the Nebraska Prospects 23-4 in seven innings.
Oahe scored 12 times in the fifth inning alone which was after they had an 8-1 lead after three and 8-3 heading into the bottom of the fifth. Oahe had 16 hits with 10 different players recording a hit with Gavin Fraser having the best day by far going 5-6 with a double driving in two runs. Jake Daily and Quinn Ludvigsen each had three RBIs and Jared Pugrad, Noah Codina and Andrew Phillips each scored three times with Fraser also having five runs. Seven of the 16 hits went for doubles for Oahe. The Nebraska Prospects had five errors and six unearned runs, but it still led the Oahe putting 17 earned runs on three pitchers. Jake Fuller would get the win on the mound going four innings allowing just two runs on four hits with six strikeouts. 15 different players had plate appearances and 13 of the 15 reached base by a hit or walk.
Oahe is now 11-17 winning six of the last seven games. The Zap will have Monday off before traveling to Spearfish for a two game set on Tuesday and Wednesday. First pitch both days will be at 7:05 Central Time.
