After having three days off from Tuesday to Thursday, the Oahe Zap are back on the field tonight starting a four game set with the Casper Spuds at Hyde Stadium.
The Zap have lost six straight and are 5-14 on the season as the first half of the season dwindles down to the final few days. Oahe won’t be able to catch the Hastings Sodbusters for the top spot in the Independence League in the first half, but as the home schedule really opens up, this is the time for the Zap to make a run. Oahe lost to Hastings on Monday which is the first of 10 straight home games and 24 of the next 26. The Zap will face Casper who they’ve already played six times. Oahe is 2-4 against the Spuds so far on the season, but it will be the first time Casper has been in Pierre this year. Casper is 10-7 on the season, two and a half games back of the Sodbusters for first place in the ILB.
First pitch tonight and Saturday are at 6:05 with first pitch on Sunday at 2:30 at Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
