The Oahe Zap and Spearfish Sasquatch tried to get through as much of the game as possible on Thursday night, but the rain came through and the infield dirt became unplayable and the game was suspended in the fourth inning.
The fourth was also where the game had its most action as Oahe leads 4-2 with all six runs scoring in the inning. Back-to-back two out doubles in the top of the fourth gave Spearfish a 2-0 lead, but it would be Quinn Ludvigsen to give the home crowd something great to cheer about as he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth to put the Zap up 4-2. After a walk and hit batter following the grand slam, play was halted from the rain along with the thunder and lightning and would not be resumed on Thursday night. The game will be made up during the season.
Oahe and Spearfish will now travel to Spearfish for a three game weekend series. First pitch on Friday and Saturday are at 7:05 Central Time and then at 5:05 Central Time on Sunday.
