EAGLE BUTTE, (KCCR) — Authorities in Eagle Butte are investigating the deaths of two people in the Dewey County community. Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement officers responded Tuesday around 4:30 pm to a residence in the Badger Park area of Eagle Butte for a report of an unresponsive person inside. Upon arrival, officers found a 23 year-old male and 20 year-old female who were both pronounced dead at the scene. The names of those involved have not been released out of respect to the families. Tribal law enforcement is being assisted in the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation from Pierre to determine a cause and manner of death.
