The Oahe Zap would score three runs in the first inning en route to a 7-5 win over the Spearfish Sasquatch on Tuesday to even the four game series with a win each.
Vince Pollizi would tie the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the first before Mason Lang doubled home two runs and the Zap were up 3-1 and had a two run lead after the first inning just like Monday night. However, things were different in this game as the Zap didn’t allow Spearfish to take the lead. Although the Sasquatch tied the game in the third, Pollizi drove in another two runs in the bottom of the fourth to reclaim the lead for good. Emiliano Curiel drove in a run to make it 6-3 in the fifth which would be the eventual winning run. In the top of the ninth, the Sasquatch had the tying runs on base with one out, but Jaxson Cornett would get the next two out to retire the side and pick up the save in the win. Connor Goldberg also doubled in the win for the Zap.
Oahe is now 5-8 on the season and will play game three of the series tonight at Hyde Stadium with first pitch at 6:05.
