Junior Hadley Hart is staying in contention for a top ten to top five finish at the Class AA girls state tournament at the Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls as the tournament heads into the final day.
Hart tied for tenth after the first day at 11 over par, 83, but is just four shots back of fifth place. Hart birdied hole 17 and parred a total of six holes. Sittie Kasan is in 33rd at 20 over par, 92, but also only four shots back of being in the top 20 after the first day. Drew Rechtenbaugh is at a 111 and Sierra Prunty would shoot a 123. The Governors are in 10th place as a team after the first day.
Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun is the clubhouse leader after the first day with a six shot lead as she was one under par, 71 while Maddie Childs and Anna Eliason of Mitchell and Emma Dohrer of Aberdeen Central are all tied for second at five over par, 77. The Golden Eagles have a 10 shot lead over Mitchell in the team score heading into the final day as Aberdeen Central is at 29 over par, 317.
