The Oahe Zap would be swept in the doubleheader on Thursday as the Hastings Sodbusters would win both games, 10-3 and 4-1 as Oahe was no hit in the first game.
In game one and even being no hit, Oahe would grab a 2-1 lead in the top of the third as an error scored both runs who reached on walks. It would stand until Hastings would score three runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take a 10-2 lead. Gavin Fraser would have the lone RBI coming in the top of the seventh to make it 10-3 on a sacrifice fly.
In game two, Hastings Weston Johnston would triple home two runs in the bottom of the fourth to give the Sodbusters a 3-0 lead and then would score on the ensuing single to make it 4-0. Gavin Fraser again had the lone RBI with a single in the top of the seventh. Oahe allowed five hits, but still gave up an unearned run in the loss.
Oahe is now 1-5 on the season and have lost five straight. The Zap will have Friday off before having its home opener on Saturday hosting the Fremont Moo. First pitch is at 6:05 Saturday night and then 2:30 on Sunday at Hyde Stadium.
