PIERRE, (KCCR) — Work crews on the Euclid Avenue reconstruction project have finished work under the eastbound lanes of Sioux Avenue. Because of that traffic through the Sioux Avenue/Pierre Street intersection will be changing Wednesday. The traffic flow will be flipped with traffic crossing over the new concrete in the eastbound lanes while the westbound lanes will be closed and torn up to access utilities under the westbound lanes of Sioux. Access to the post office and Federal Building will remain from Pleasant Drive and Pierre Street. Pedestrian access to the Federal Building will from the Sioux Avenue intersection to stoplights at Central and Highland Avenues. The detour on South Pierre Street will remain in place. Access to those businesses in the 300 block of South Pierre Street will remain from Dakota Avenue. Weekly public informational meetings will resume this week. The next being Wednesday at 11 am at the Associated General Contractors building across from Georgia Morse Middle School.
