The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will play its final softball game of its first season hosting the Redfield Pheasants this afternoon in Fort Pierre.
It’s been 17 days since the Lady Buffs last played after dropping a doubleheader to Winner on May 6. Stanley County’s final road game was canceled due to the rain against Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Monday. Stanley County is 0-5 on the season and the Redfield comes in at 7-7 which is good for 12th in the Class B standings. The Pheasants beat Clark/Willow Lake 17-7 last time out stopping a four game losing streak.
For seniors Brylee Kafka, Raegan Taylor and Camryn Norman, their short softball careers at Stanley County will come to a close this afternoon, but the three have left a lasting mark from the inaugural season.
First pitch is at 2:00 this afternoon, weather pending, from the Stanley County softball Field.
