The Pierre Governor Track and Field team would get its final tune up before the state meet next week with 13 wins at the Wendelgass Relays Thursday in Huron.
The boys side would get five wins at Carson Stoeser would win the long jump, Caleb Morris the 3200 meter run and Lincoln Dilges the 110 meter hurdles. The team of Karson Walti George Rapp, Carter Merrill and Carston Stoeser would win the 4×100 and the 4×200 relay of Walti, Merrill, Carter Schiefelbein and Will Danburg would also win.
For the girls, Emery Larson grabbed two individual wins in both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Kali Ringstmeyer would get the win the 200 meter run while Charlee Williams-Smith would win the 800 meters. Emyln Swanson would win the long jump while also being a part of 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams to win. In the 4×100 it would be Swasnon, Williams-Smith, Ringstmeyer and Brooke Hansen while the 4×100 was Swason, Williams-Smith, Ringstmeyer and Lennix DuPris. The 4×200 relay team of Gwen Richter, Devyn Van Roekel, Mason Berg and Larson would win the 4×800 relay race.
