PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A short and sweet agenda will come before Commissioners tonight with only two items of new business for consideration. There is a healthy consent calendar for consideration. The calendar includes minutes from the May 6th meeting and claims and a wage adjustment for an emergency services communications officer. On top of that, the calendar includes new hires for the water, cemetery, recreation and utility department. The Commission will consider approval of 2025-2026 malt beverage license renewals and a request to surplus city property. That is the first step in disposing of unneeded or unwanted city property. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
