Pierre School Board To Hold May Meeting Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is meeting tonight at the District Administration Building. The Board will consider approval of a six-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with a report from the Riggs Student Senate. Board members will consider approval of designating official bank depositories and will hear the preliminary Fiscal Year 2026 proposed school district budget. The Board will also consider action on Constitutional amendments from the South Dakota High School Activities Association. Board members will also vote in elections for Activities Association at large, Board of Education, and Division One and Three representatives. Final reading will be given to revisions to the District’s facility use rate policy and first reading will be given to changes to the Georgia Morse Middle School handbook. Also on the agenda is an update on the Riggs High main gym floor. The Board will also consider approval of administrative rule waivers, open enrollments, resignations, donations and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
