The Stanley County Softball team would drop both games to the Winner Warriors on the road on Tuesday as Winner would win 22-5 and 17-2.
Stanley County opened up the top of the first with a 3-0 lead, but the Warriors would score 21 runs in the bottom of the first. After Brylee Kafka led off the game with a double, Timber Hanson would bring home the game’s first run before Rylea VanAsperen had an RBI single to make it 2-0. Addyson Waage had the other RBI as Stanley County scored a run in each of the second and third innings.
In game two, Winner would score another five runs in each of the first two innings before a seven run third finished out the game on a 15 run rule. Stanley County again struck first, scoring both runs in the top of the first inning as Camryn Norman would double and Lexie Boxley would get the lone RBI.
Stanley County drops to 0-5 on the season and will have its makeup date with Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Monday, May 19 in Plankinton.
