PIERRE, (KCCR) — Four Pierre residents have been sentenced on federal charges connected to a methamphetamine distribution network. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 30 year-old Whitney Marrowbone was given the longest sentence, at 11 years with five years of probation upon release. Ramsdell says 49 year-old Wendy Mealer was sentenced to six years in federal prison with three years of probation. Thirty-six year-old Brent Larvie was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison while 33 year-old David Rinehart got a two year sentence from District Judge Eric Schulte. Ramsdell says the four were involved in a distribution conspiracy from June of 2023 to September of 2024. The four and several others were involved in distributing meth in the Pierre area. The four co-defendants were given large amounts of meth from two additional co-defendants. Over 550 gram of methamphetamine were recovered through the investigation involving the Pierre and Chamberlain Police Departments and Lyman County Sheriff’s Office. The two co-defendants, Heather and Misty Stahlhoefer, will be sentenced later this year. Heather will be sentenced next week while Misty will be sentenced in July.
