Raegan Taylor would be the one to deliver the first ever pitch for Stanley County softball on Thursday at the Stanley County Softball Complex, but the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers would get two wins in the doubleheader.
The Tigers would get a 15-0 win in game one and 21-3 win in game two. Mobridge-Pollock led just 2-0 after two innings, but used a nine run third to swell the lead up to 11-0 and added four more runs in the fourth to end the shortened game. Taylor had the lone hit for the Lady Buffaloes as they could only manage four walks.
In game two, Mobridge-Pollock scored 16 first inning runs and another five in the second to make it a three inning game. Stanley County did score three runs in the first inning as they were the visitors on the scoreboard in game two. While Stanley County didn’t get a hit in the game, Camryn Norman would drive in the game’s first run with an RBI ground out.
Stanley County is 0-2 and will have its next game this afternoon against the Chamberlain Cubs on the road. Stanley County will have just one more home game, against Redfield at the end of the season.
