After last week’s historic day was postponed, the Stanley County Lady Buffalo softball team will now get a double-dip of history today.
The Lady Buffaloes will host the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers in its first ever home game and now also the first ever game for the Lady Buffs. Stanley County will still play Mount Vernon/Plankinton, but the game was postponed to May 19 so the home opener now becomes the season opener. The Tigers are coming in at 2-3 and have not played since splitting its triangular with Redfield and Deuel in Redfield. They are currently ninth in the Class B standings. Keely Bracelin, head coach of the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes says she wants to see a lot effort out of this group in the first game…
First pitch of the doubleheader is at 4:00 from the Stanley County Softball Field just south of the school.
