Governors Split Home Opening Duals

The Pierre Governor Tennis team would split the two duals on Tuesday in the first home matches of the season beating Spearfish 8-1, but falling to Huron 7-2.

In the Huron match, Jacob Leiferman in singles flight two along with Leiferman and Lucas Hight in doubles flight one would get the two wins for Pierre as the Govs dropped a second straight decision to Huron by the score of 7-2. However, they again would dominate Spearfish as Leiferman would finish the day undefeated going 4-0 in total winning his singles and doubles match against the Spartans. Hight would win in singles flight one to go 3-1 overall for the day and Noah Lueking in flight three, Brady Lowery in flight four and Levi Hight in flight five would get singles wins. Lueking and William Southern in doubles flight two and Jacoby LaRoche and Lowery in flight three would also win in its Spearfish dual.
