The 18U Team South Dakota boys would win 9-0 in the final game of the weekend Friday, defeating the Alabama Thunder with a big performance to close the tournament at 1-2.
The win would not be enough to reach the semifinals as the other two teams in the pool had been 2-0 heading into the final pool play game. James Shea and Jackson Henry, both from Sioux Falls would net two goals each while Aberdeen’s Lleyton Kleffman would also score twice for Team SD. Vinny Thill, Jack Campbell and Thatcher May would also score. Aberdeen’s Carson Hundstad would have a six save shutout in the win.
Oahe’s Keegan Kitts will finish his high school career with the end of South Dakota’s tournament.
