The Pierre Governor baseball team did not make the trip to Harrisburg over the weekend due to the cold temperatures and precipitation in Harrisburg. It’s the second set of games to be canceled this year.
The Governors are 2-0 on the season playing on Friday, March 28, but did not play against Sturgis and Rapid City Central the next day. Now, the Governors and Harrisburg Tigers won’t play its doubleheader. Pierre still has 20 South Dakota games remaining on the schedule.
Pierre will play at the border battle on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12 in Sioux Falls. Pierre faces Grand Forks Central and West Fargo on Friday and then Roosevelt and O’Gorman on Saturday. The next KCCR broadcast will be on Thursday, April 17, the home opener against Aberdeen.
