The Parkston Trojans would score enough in the fourth quarter to beat the Lyman Raiders in the Class B Consolation Championship 38-35 on Saturday in Huron.
Lyman scored just seven points in the final quarter and went over six minutes without a point in the fourth as the shots just wouldn’t fall. Lyman shot 38% from the field, but the fourth didn’t go their way. Bree Smart was the only Raider in double figurers with 10 points while Jordyn Scott had nine and Mak Scott had eight. Lauren Zeebart and Keera Oakley each had 10 points for the Trojans. The final six points for the Trojans which tied and took the lead, were free throws as the Trojans just made one field goal in the fourth quarter and shot under 30% from the field.
Lyman finishes at 20-5 and Brooke Palmer will be the only senior to graduate from the Raiders with Mak Scott the lone junior and everyone else being sophomores, freshman and eighth graders.
