Wedin Enters Hall of Fame with Decorated Career

Oahe Capitals alum Spencer Wedin, with the second highest points in Capitals history, has gotten the call to be a part of the South Dakota Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

On Monday, it was announced the newest members to enter the Hall and Wedin becomes the sixth Capital player which he will join Austin Wagner, Landon Badger, Matt Farris, Cash Anderson and Cody Bishop. Wedin finished his career with the Capitals with 119 goals and 140 assists for 259 points. Only Wagner, just four points ahead of Wedin, finished with more career points. Wedin holds the most assists in a career having four more than Ashton Griese. He’s also only one of five players to score 100 career goals and one of five to have over 200 points. Wedin will enter the South Dakota Hockey Hall of Fame on April 11 at 7:00 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Single tickets are $65 while reserved tables are $520 and sponsor tables are $800.
