The Pierre Governor wrestling teams will be in action tonight as the Govs host the Yankton Bucks and Gazelles with it also being Senior Recognition.
The Governor girls are still looking to be undefeated in duals as the season is coming down to the final three weekends before the state tournament. The Gazelles are 12-4 in duals and can pose a tough matchup for the Govs.
On the boys side, this is a must win. Pierre is 6-5 in duals and in tenth place in the dual standings. The top ten have a chance to make the state dual tournament which Pierre will host on Friday and Saturday February 14-15. But without a win tonight, the Govs state tournament chances look very bleak. Pierre will need a win against the 8-12 Bucks.
It will be a rolling schedule starting with the JV at 5:00 as the girls and boys varsity will follow. Seniors will be recognized tonight.
