Stanley County Splits Doubleheader with Crow Creek

The Stanley County Buffaloes would get a win and a loss on Thursday at home against Crow Creek with the girls falling 61-31 and the boys running away with a 66-49 win.

Stanley County trailed 12-3 after the first quarter, but had 20 second half points although it wasn’t enough to come back against the Lady Chieftains. Addy Deal, though had 20 points to lead Stanley County including three threes in the game. She was the only player in double figures. The Lady Buffs drop to 1-14 on the season.

The Stanley County boys had a 33-19 lead at the break and never allowed Crow Creek to get within single digits the rest of the game as the Buffs had a big game from Paxton Deal and Eddy Duffy. Deal had a game high 22 points while Duffy finished with 17. Kaden Montana didn’t hit a shot from outside the arc but still had 16 points with almost all coming right at the hoop. Stanley County is back into the win column stopping the two game slide and are 11-3 on the season.

The Buffalo boys will travel to Sioux Falls to play at the Heritage Classic on Saturday against Unity Christian of Iowa. Tip off is at 2:30 from the Sanford Pentagon.
