The Pierre Governor wrestling teams would split the dual against the Brandon Valley Lynx on Thursday at home with the girls winning 58-6, but the boys falling 48-27.
The Governor girls would win all but one match as Shaylee Speck, Dani Ringstmeyer and Lexie Hillmer each would record fall wins while Jersey Lewis had a major decision win and Gemma Stangeland had a decision win for the Govs. The remaining five matches were forfeit wins for Pierre who remains unbeaten in duals.
For the Governor boys, Pierre had fall wins from Gable Uhrig, Bode Minder, Rowdy Menning and Porter Hunsley. Max Hunsley would get a decision win while Brandon Valley picked up six fall wins and had bonus points in eight of the nine victories. Pierre drops to 6-5 in duals and is still trying to hang on to a spot to reach the dual state tournament.
