Stanley County Faces Class B Highmore-Harrold at Home

The Stanley County girls and boys basketball teams will be at home tonight to face the Highmore-Harrold Pirates in a doubleheader as the boys look to start a modest three game winning streak.

The Lady Buffs will be looking to stop a five game skid against the Pirates after falling to Herreid/Selby Area on Friday. Highmore-Harrold comes in at 5-1 having its only loss to Potter County 55-50. The Pirates have won three in a row with wins over Faulkton Area, Iroquois/Lake Preston and Wessington Springs. Highmore-Harrold is averaging nearly 50 points per game this season.

Stanley County is 3-1 on the year and have back-to-back wins. The Buffs knocked off Herreid/Selby Area Friday night and look to defeat the 1-3 Pirates who have dropped those three straight. In the three losses, Highmore-Harrold has been beat by double digits including a running clock loss to Wolsey-Wessington.

Tip off tonight for the girls game is at 6:30 with the boys game to follow at the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
