FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council welcomes the new year with its first meeting of the year tonight. City officials will present any updates to the Council before the Council gets into regular agenda items. The Council will discuss both the Capital Improvement Plan and Pavement Management Study. The will also consider giving authorization to advertise for 2025 curb and gutter projects. Council members will consider three resolutions. Two are for replats in the Yellowstone and Marion’s Garden subdivision and the third is in regards to the all-season fish cleaning station. The Council will consider approval of 2024-2025 mobile home court licenses, will consider a change order and final payment for 2023 street projects and will discuss state revolving fund funding for a water storage project. Other agenda items include personnel, appointments to the Arbor Board, approval of electric, plumbing and dray licenses and surplussing 13 electrical transformers. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room in Fort Pierre.
