GOAC Seeks New Subpoenas Of Revenue Department Officials

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota Legislature is again seeking subpoenas so they can look into alleged corruption in multiple state agencies. Senator David Wheeler says the new subpoenas for Revenue Secretary Michael Houdyshell and Motor Vehicle Division Director Rosa Yaeger have more detail than earlier subpoenas…

Some of those specifics come from questions other members of GOAC had. A tentatively meeting was left open on the document. Senator Jean Hunhoff wanted to know why…

Representative Linda Duba is not returning to the Legislature or GOAC, but doesn’t want the investigation to fall between the cracks….

Wheeler was asked about the status of the original subpoena. He says because the meeting scheduled to use the subpoena was canceled, it made the subpoena a non-issue. The request for the subpoena now goes before the legislature’s Executive Board, meeting Friday.
