PIERRE, (KCCR) — Traffic has been running over the new John C. Waldron Memorial Bridge between Pierre and Fort Pierre for a number of weeks now. Work on de-constructing the old bridge is about to reach a noticeable point. Bridge demolition is expected to continue well into mid-2025 with Fort Pierre Bridge Plaza construction to start roughly in February with Pierre Bridge Plaza work projected to begin in March.
