The Pierre Governor wrestling teams will have another ESD dual tonight as the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles come to town for a boys and girls doubleheader.
The Governors are both 2-0 in duals beating Tea and Brookings last Thursday at home. The Governor girls have two tournament team wins to begin the season. Aberdeen Central boys are also 1-0 in the ESD with a 66-12 win over Tea. The Golden Eagle girls team has not had an ESD dual yet this year. They were scheduled to face Jefferson and Lincoln last Thursday in Rapid City. The Governors will have one final dual and event for 2024 on Thursday with a trip to Harrisburg. After this week, the Governors will have two weeks between matches.
The JV will start at 5:00 with the girls varsity next followed by the boys varsity in a rolling schedule at the Riggs High School gym.
