FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County Commission is holding its final regular meeting of the year tonight. The Commission will hear reports from the Treasurer and Auditor and hear a special report on the results of the County’s post-election audit. Commissioners will hear concerns over wind energy from Darla and Raymond Tibbs and will meet with Highway Superintendent Lee Smith. Smith will discuss 911 signs with the Commission along with part-time employee wages, belly dump trailers and hail damaged building repairs. The Commission will consider a raise for a Highway Department employee, a memorandum of understanding between the county and South Dakota State for 4-H, public health nurse contracts with the state Department of Health and consider approval of an adjusted urban boundary map. Other agenda items for the Stanley County Commission include a memorandum of understanding with the City of Pierre for Central Square/Zuercher software, an update on phone service at the Courthouse and discussing year-end meetings and holidays. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five pm at the Stanley County Courthouse.
