The state champion Howard Tigers will get the most players to receive an All-State honor with five players while runner-up Wolsey-Wessington receives four players.
Caleb Richmond, Wolsey-Wessington’s quarterback leads the All-State offense as he had 22 touchdowns and 1806 passing yards including running for another 1229 yards and 18 touchdowns. Howard’s Luke Koepsell is an All-State tight end and also received the 9A All-American award as he had 278 yards on 22 catches for seven touchdowns and placed block after block out of his tight end position. Philip would get Jensen Fitch on the offensive line as the senior helped block for over 4,500 total yards. He also had four catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Freshman Cole Kieffer of the Lyman Raiders would get an honorable mention spot from his tight end position. He had 36 catches for 482 yards and six receiving touchdowns for the Raiders. He is one of just two freshman in the state that received any kind of All-State honor.
