The Miller Rustlers would finish in fifth place at the Class A state tournament on Saturday with a sweep over Sioux Valley winning 25-16, 33-31 and 25-12.
The Rustlers had to fend off a tough second set as Sioux Valley forced the Rustlers to win the second set with 33 points, but it didn’t deter the Rustlers from winning the third set and finish off the sweep and claiming the consolation championship. Paige Werdel would lead Miller with 13 kills while Aleah Schlechter had 10 kills. Every player who played on Saturday recorded at least a kill. Olivia Resel had 37 assists and Miller recorded 13 aces. Kaedyn Sapp and Addisen Renkly each had eight kills for Sioux Valley.
Miller finishes the season at 30-2 on the year taking home to the consolation championship at the Class A state tournament.
