The Yankton Bucks would shutout the Oahe Capitals 6-0 in the opening game of the regular season peppering over 40 shots on goal.
Kylen O’Connor would get a breakaway goal in the first period as Yankton had just a 1-0 lead after the first. Jack Pedersen and Kade Schramm would score in the second early on and lead Oahe 3-0 through two periods. Rylan Murphy, Connor Perakslis and Pederesen would all score in the third as the final three minutes were played in run time. Luke Moeller would finish with a 23 save shutout as he would stop numerous breakaway and odd man rushing attempts. Yankton would finish 2-5 on the power play while Oahe would go 0-5. Jaxon Jungwirth would make 33 saves on 38 shots while Noah Eaton would face the final three shots of the game.
