Pierre alum, Jessica Lutmer would set a new personal record in her final race at the Midwest Cross Country Regionals for South Dakota State on Friday in Peoria, Illinois.
Lutmer would run a time of 20:58 and place 56th at the regional event. The Jackrabbit women would place 12th as a team. Lutmer was second best on the team as freshman Courtney Stadter would place 48th just seven seconds ahead of the senior.
The Jackrabbit men’s team would place sixth at the Regional, but Carson Noecker placed tenth overall and earned a spot after the selection show and will compete at the National Championships on November 23.
