FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. The Council will hear reports from city officials before considering action items on the agenda. Council members will consider approval of a legal agreement for a new city attorney. The Council will also consider an agreement with D-G-R for an electric system study and its relationship with the city’s Capital Improvement Plan. Council members will consider giving authorization to sign an agreement for administrative assistance for the city’s E-D-A grant and a 2025 animal shelter and pound contract. Other agenda items include a resolution for a special maintenance fee and setting a public hearing for a temporary liquor license request for an event at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center on February 3rd.
