PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a three item consent calendar then move right into action items. The calendar includes the usual claims and minutes approval and a request to add F-T-E to the business office. The Commission will consider a request to bid the U-S Highway 14/Euclid Avenue Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvement project with the letting of the highway project with the Department of Transportation. Commissioners will consider approval of an agreement with the Pierre Swim Team for use of the Aquatic Center and a request to abate property taxes for Countryside Hospice. Other agenda items include a resolution to appoint a city attorney, 2025 dental and health insurance, 2025 liquor license renewals and discussing the 2024 end-of-the-year holiday schedule. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
