FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room in Fort Pierre. Council members will hear reports from city officials before getting into a longer agenda. Four public hearings are on the agenda. One is for ordinance 1073 regarding the height limit for two story residential buildings. The second is for a right-of-way vacation request and the final two are alcohol license transfers from Tiger’s Tap to B-Kat’s Tavern. Second reading will be given to a building height ordinance and the Council will consider approval of a resolution to vacate a city right-of-way. Council members will consider an agreement with West Central Electric for lighting of the American Legion Post 20 baseball field, setting public hearings for temporary liquor license requests by the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center and considering approval of a temporary liquor license for the Silver Spur. Other agenda items include pay applications and change orders on street projects, bid awards for a water pipeline extension, 2025 liquor license renewals and discussion of 2025 street projects and the city’s Capital Improvement plan. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm.
