FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. City officials will give reports to the Council before getting into agenda items. The Council will consider approval of the agenda and consent calendar before holding a public hearing on a temporary liquor license for an event at the Community and Youth Involved Center on October 10th. The Council will consider a personnel item and resolution regarding a plat change in Compton’s Cove. Council members will give introduction to an ordinance on building height limits and set public hearings for the building height ordinance, a right-of-way vacation request and a malt beverage license transfer. The Council will discuss the Capital Improvement Plan, Walleye Drive and consider accepting the 2023 Audit report. Other agenda items include an update on city shop storage, rental of the Stanley County Fairgrounds for winter storage and pay applications for two street projects. The Council will hold discussions on a 12-inch dedicated fill line and the authorization to advertise for that line. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm.
