Pierre Woman Shares Mental Health Journey As Part Of 437 Project Pierre Stop

PIERRE, (KCCR) — As September ends today, so to does Suicide Prevention Month, but the struggle to raise awareness of mental health continues year round. That awareness was brought home to Pierre when The 437 Project stopped on it’s statewide trek at the American Legion cabin. On a shaded patio, Dacia Stark surrounded by dozens of supportive strangers, shared her journey…

Stark says the journey changed after a conversation with her father during what she calls the lowest point in her life…

From there, Stark turned the corner and is helping people with the same journey…

The 437 Project raised over 315-thousand dollars for the Helpline Center and 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
