PIERRE, (KCCR) — Time is running out for high school juniors and seniors wanting to serve as pages for the 100th session of the South Dakota Legislature. Application materials must be submitted to the Legislative Research Council by Friday, October 4th. Applicants can be from any South Dakota school district, including home-schooled students. Pages will serve at the behest of the House of Representatives or Senate during one of five terms during the session. The main session runs from January 14th to March 31st of 2025. with a recess from March 14th to the 28th. Each applicant must have a signed sponsorship letter from a legislator or legislator-elect as well as written permission from their respective school and submit a completed application and cover letter. Pages will stay with at family homes in Pierre and Fort Pierre. Families wanting to host pages must fill out a Housing Questionnaire available on the L-R-C website.
