PIERRE, (KCCR) — Pierre police have made an arrest in a child pornography investigation. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says police received a cybertip back in April of this year which led to the start of an investigation for possession of child pornography. On Tuesday, police with help from the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, executed a search warrant at a Pierre residence and vehicle. According to court documents on file in Hughes County, a video found depicted a juvenile female engaged in various prohibited sexual acts. The documents further note that 35 year-old Andrew Dickenson of Pierre admitted to uploading three such videos and admitted to having 20 to 30 child pornography files on various digital devices. Another video showed a juvenile female in various states of undress including complete nudity. The investigation led to the eventual arrest of Dickenson on three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Possession of Child Pornography is a Class Four felony which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a 20-thousand dollar fine.
