PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. In special business the Commission will again raise awareness of the water service line survey, a national effort to get residents to inspect their water systems for the presence of lead pipes. The Commission will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the last meeting, the claims two new hires and the postponement of a public hearing on an airport hangar lease. Second reading of the city budget will be given during unfinished business. In new business, the Commission will consider acceptance and close out of the Pawnee Reconstruction project with Sharpe Enterprises. Commissioners will consider a resolution regarding sales tax revenue for the landfill project and a change order for the North Harrison Reservoir roof rehab project. The Commission will also consider approval of an authorization to discharge fireworks at Hyde Stadium on September 29th. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
