Pierre Taco John’s To Close For Major Remodel After 53 Years In Service

PIERRE, (KCCR) — Quick tacos and burritos will be on hold from one Pierre restaurant for a few weeks. Taco John’s of Pierre closed Monday for a major remodeling effort. The Pierre location is one of the Cheyenne, Wyoming-based eatery’s longest-standing locations. It’s been in service for 53 years in Pierre. The remodeling is part of a larger, franchise-wide strategy to modernize shop design and enhance the overall customer experience. The Pierre Taco John’s is one of the first locations originally purchased by what is now Pentex Management Group, which now has 46 Taco John’s locations in eight states. The store will be completely out-of-service for five weeks. The store will open the drive-through only for three weeks before opening the lobby to customers for sit-down meals. Officials expect a grand re-opening some time in November to commemorate the store’s long standing history in Pierre. Pentex C-E-O Brett Itterman says the remodel will reflect the company’s commitment to offering a great experience through innovative technology upgrades, a seamless ordering process and a welcoming environment.
