PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding its first meeting of the new school year tonight. The Board will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr Kelly Glodt. Comments from Board members and the public will follow along with the inaugural update for the school year from the Riggs Student Senate. The Board will consider any conflicts of interest before getting into action items. Up for consideration by the Board tonight is final action on three financially-related policy revisions. They include policies on Budget Transfer Authority, Types of Funds and Expense Reimbursements. The Board will also consider approval of an administrative rule waiver. Other action items for the Pierre School Board tonight include approval of donations, contract items, out-of-district open enrollment requests and surplus property. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration Building on South Poplar Avenue. The meeting is open to the community.
