PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission has signed off on the use of five-thousand dollars of hotel room stay funds to help Fort Pierre finish construction of an all-season fish cleaning station at the Fifth Avenue Boat Ramp. The money comes from Business Improvement District Number One and Mayor Steve Harding says Pierre declined the opportunity for it’s own all season station…
Harding serves as mayor as Pierre’s liaison to the BID Board…
Commissioner Vona Johnson agreed with the support from the city, but did have some questions about taking money raised in Pierre and sending it across the river…
The money pledged for approval comes from a two dollar per night fee charged for hotel rooms stays within the area of BID District Number One.
