FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is holding the first of two regular meetings in August tonight. The Council will hear reports from city officials before getting into a number of agenda items. The Council will hold a public hearing for a temporary liquor license request for an event at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center on August 18th. A proclamation will be made for Professional Engineers Day and the Council will consider approval of a purchase agreement with CAM Rentals for land for a new water storage tank. The Council will also consider setting a public hearing date for a temporary liquor license request for Buckin on the River at the Stanley County Fairgrounds. The Council has a number of pay applications, change orders and temporary liquor license requests to approval. Three abatements are up for consideration in front of the Council tonight along with awarding a bid for hay ground, updates on personnel and a discussion on the city budget. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room.
