Specific to South Dakota, the Mid America Business Conditions Index slipped slightly to 46-point-seven in July from 46-point-nine in June. The Mid America Business Conditions Index operates on a zero-to-100 scale with 50 being growth neutral. Readings above 50 indicate growth while numbers below indicate a decline.
